I bought Killing Floor, L4D2 and Borderlands and I'm having a blast with them. All this for 25 euros was more than worth of it.

My Q9300 @ 3,7ghz does the job for me. There is absolutely no need for me to upgrade to i7.

AMD cool'n quiet works automatically. It reduces your clocks and voltages when your not running any system intensive applications.

4670 isn't faster than the 9800GT. Anyway, I'd recommend a HD4670.

Just get two 280 GTX's. There is hardly any performance boost from going 2X 280GTX's to 3. Actually, some of the games show LESSER performance with Tri-SLi.

Just because people don't trust charts like that, doesn't mean they hate AMD. Personally, I have always been an AMD fan but I still thank that chart is BS. I want to see some actual benchmarks when Phenom II's gets released.

His video card isn't neccessarily dead yet. I'd try with a better PSU, and then see what happens.

I'd sell that 8800GT and get a 260 GTX. 8800GT is one of those cards that isn't really good in SLi.

Exactly. Though you will most likely have to upgrade your video card later, if you want to play with higher resolution.
