Oblivion: Can you screw over the Grey Fox?

Nope, you are not able to kill the Fox because he has a crown icon when you approach him.

The Cure my Vampirism Thread **SPOILERS**

Ditto, I'm in the exact same boat as you because the path to becoming a thieve guild master will directly conflict with your mage's guild status...anyway, now I have to collect 20 samples of both Vampire Dust and Daedra Hearts before I will be let back in...what a pain, I have 17 of each and...

    Oblivion Lock Picks

I've tried it unsuccessfully with the Logitech dual analog USB controller. The problem is getting the camera scoll mapped. If you figure it out, please let me know! Also, addressing your original question about where to "find" lockpicks. Go to the Imperial City market district and simply...

SLI experiences, can you really tell the diff?

Yup, SLI is dynamite when playing Oblivion with everything maxed at 1920x1200. The only time I dip below 40FPS is when an Oblivion gate is visible. Those things are gorgeous to behold, but must be a mouthful for those cards to render. FPS goes into the toilet when they are near...

    am i being hacked?

To find out what that icon is, you can pull up your Windows Task Manager and filter the active processes by recognizable programs. You can also type "msconfig" and look at what processes are scheduled to launch at startup (obviously located at your startup tab).

    suitable switch

Don't really understand the question by reading your original note, but it is probably just me... Do you have individual racks on each floor or are all the cable runs "home run"? How many switches are you looking to purchase? How are they currently connected now?

    am i being hacked?

Perform a "netstat -a" from your DOS Prompt during one of these episodes and paste the content here...we should be able to decipher the output to determine legitimate versus potentially malicious content.

Who bought a new computer just for Oblivion?

Yeah, just wanted to say that 7900GTX is a recognized card. The interesting thing was that when it went through the auto-detection it set everything at medium details upon initial installation. I manually adjusted everything after that point to get where I'm at now...virtually everything max...

Yeah, let me double check when I get home because I could have sworn it showed up as a recognized card during setup... Will readvise...

Who bought a new computer just for Oblivion?

Yes, you should be fine. See my specs below, I'm averaging 50-100FPS outdoors with everything maxed at 1920x1200.

    Oblivion PC - Joystick Users?

The reason I ask is to find out how you mapped your buttons. I have a Saitek D770 Dual Analog controller and can't figure out how to be able to rotate the camera. Anyone else more clever than this newb? :)

[off-topic] Can't Wait for This Weekend!!!

Nice find, thanks jacuzz1 :) I might get that for a later date. This weekend, I'll be taking the gear into work where we have adequate lab space, however I like the look of that for when I'm benching at home! p.s. I loved your Dell 3007 thread and you ALMOST had me pull the purchase...
