I was wondering if anyone has had experience with purchasing a used monitor on ebay. I have found some pretty good deals, but I am slightly skeptical about purchasing without ever seeing the monitor in person.
I probably should have said this, but I also found a used 1800fp, so my other option aside from the two 2005fpws is the 1800fp and a 2209wa. Also, should I be weary buying used, considering these monitors are somewhat old.
Okay, sorry to bring this thread back up, but I have been looking around craigslist, and I have the opportunity to purchase two used Dell 2005fpw monitors and still remain in my budget. Would this be the best option, or is the 2005fpw outdated compared to the current IPS panels.
Thanks for all the replies. My budget is slightly over $200. I don't know where I might be able to test and IPS panel, but I'll see if I can test a TN panel. Currently I am leaning towards purchasing the IPS and trying to find a cheapo used TN panel. Do any of you find it annoying to have dual...
Is there a major difference between the two types of panels for watching movies if I will generally be sitting right in front of the screen? Under my budget I can either purchase two TN panels or one IPS panel (2209WA) and I would like to know if the picture quality on an IPS is worth giving up...
I plan on using ATSC over the air and analog cable as my sources. I don't plan on ever using it to play anything, I just want a cheap computer I can leave at home to record shows.
I want to have a computer I can use solely for recording tv, and I was wondering if my old Dell Dimension 3000 would be enough. It has a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor and 1 gig of ram. At most I would need to record two HD streams at the same time.
