I just completed Metro: Exodus running Russian voiceovers and English subtitles. Someone elsewhere recommended playing through the original that way and the habit stuck with that game series.
It can be a way to get better/less noticeably bad (to native English speakers) voiceovers.
The voiceovers make me miss "Cheeki breeki" and doubting that it's going to have the same charm and weirdness that made the first game + expandalones as memorable as they were.
After patch it's still crashing on load with any RT enabled.
Going to try a clean install of the Complete Edition just in case there's something to that.
ETA: And clean installing worked to get it running. Just at Kaer Morhen but better than the black screen CTD on load.
I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been a first to full release clone that got inside BSG's loop.
Or, heck, a campaign co-op ripoff that lifted the combat and exploration feel.
I'm thankful to hear that because it was mine, and a buddy's, biggest complaint during the open beta. We couldn't make anything out well enough until enemies were on top of us and rarely were able to spot an enemy at range getting ready to shoot.
I did not have this sense, and some of that might have been because some hacker messed my save game up (I was able to recover it but then kept a manual set of backups) right when I got to the DLC so that set the bar pretty high in terms of what it would take to get me bothered.
Don't take dying personally.
Don't repeek angles.
Do be surprisingly aggressive; you can catch people out.
Do buy the best ammo v. armor you can get.
Do aim for the face.
Co-op is still rocky in terms of rando bugs (triggers not working, weird sound problems) but no fatal issues with saves or anything in about 11hr played.
Metro: Exodus after leaving it on the pile for quite a while; having purchased it when it released on GoG, but holding off playing it until I had an RTX card that could do justice to the game.
Then I just played a bunch of other crap after getting the new card and am finally cycling back around.
I've been playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the writing is worse than the complaints led me to believe.
The challenge tombs are still the best part of the game, so far. I haven't revisited the prior entries but I recall them being less busy with resource/crafting garbage.
