Hi guys, Just after a CPU/Mobo/RAM combo for my WHS, due to noise issues Im passing up on the Norco for now and sticking with my Coolermaster Cosmos S case. What are some suggestions? I have ben out of the hardware loop for a while. Cool/silent is the aim.

This might be a stupid question but I am looking to get a norco. I want to get a couple of Dell Perc 5/i cards and use those cables that allow 8 drives per card. Would I come across any problems with this? Also what would be the reason in getting a new norco over an old one?

I have had a look at these but none of them display how many drives they hold (looking for 8 port) and are most SAS, can I use SATA drives on SAS connections?

Id prefer to stay with ESXi thanks. Any cheap controller cards anyone can recommend? Also would I better off goign non RAID perhaps? ( :( )
