Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hey Guys,
So I've built my last few computers myself, but never had the nerve to dive into CPU overclocking. With my latest build, I've decided I'd like to give it a try (see specs in my sig). Forgive me if I begin to ramble past this point :D
Basically, I'd just like some advice on how far...
It's an ASUS 27" LED monitor (Model V287Q or V827Q - I forget which) - actually switched it from DVI-In to HDMI-In yesterday, just to see if that made a difference. It's maybe 3 years old, possibly 4.
Also, please don't shake the baby. :D
Yeah, I just swapped the hardware without doing a completely fresh install, because as you say, Windows does a pretty decent job of adjusting these days. I have no excuse - I'm just lazy, haha. :)
If the problem persists when I get the chance to test more tomorrow, I think a completely fresh...
Ran DDU to completely wipe out my video drivers this morning, and reinstalled the Catalyst 14.6 beta drivers. Ran Furmark but it appeared that it was being throttled...? GPU never got that hot, despite having 8XMSAA on too.
Decided to fire up Watch Dogs for 30-40 minutes, and didn't get a...
Ran the 3dmark demo three times in a row yesterday - temps for both GPU and CPU climbed into the high 60s/low70s, yet I never got this black screen issue once. I've been monitoring my temps when playing Watch Dogs too (running Speedfan on a second monitor) - GPU typically tops out around 70C...
Won't be able to get to my PC until tomorrow morning, but I will definitely get those numbers for you! I actually ran the new video card for a few days in my old system (prior to picking up the mobo/CPU/RAM), and encountered sporadic momentary glitching on-screen while playing TESO. However...
I should add that I uninstalled my Catalyst drivers yesterday, then did a fresh install of Catalyst 14.4... then upgraded to 14.6 beta today but only had a few minutes to test (and still encountered this problem).
Howdy folks,
So over the past week, I've assembled (most of) a brand new PC, as follows:
- Intel i5-4670k
- ASUS Z97-A mobo
- 8GB DDR3-2400 RAM
- Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X OC
- Corsair Carbide Air 540 case
The components I kept from my previous build (i5-2500k, built 2-3 years...
