For sure, if pricing is too close to a similar spec'd PC, I'd stick to PC.

With the way component pricing has increased, my interest in a DIY gaming PC build for next gen has dwindled. If Project Helix is a PC (or at least open enough to have Steam and other storefronts), I could see myself getting one to replace my desktop as my main gaming device.

I always grab the Sw2 version when available. Usually the price is similar and the performance upgrades are worth it. Plus game saves don't always carry over (Square is bad for that), so I'd rather get the upgraded version than face buyers remorse if I want to upgrade later.

Probably for the best - Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, and the Mass Effect games were some of my favorites, but felt they've been in a spiral the past few years (decades?).

Glad to see Xbox is still controlling their Xbox OS direction (going by the rumor). The XBOX mode on Windows 11 has been fine for me (really impressed by how quickly its improving), but a dedicated SteamOS-style 'Game Mode' is what I'd be interested in. But - yeah, that price is deadly...

I considered grabbing one of those Nyxi Hyperion 3 Ultra joycons (regular gamepad sized joycons), but they're pretty pricey. Agreed, though, compared to the PC handhelds, Switch 2 is nowhere near as comfortable.
