Hey guys, I am desperate for some advice!
My old ReadyNAS X6 recently kicked the boot, so I decided to try creating a RAID 5 array in my desktop using a Sil3114 controller card I had lying around. In the card's BIOS, I formatted 4 Samsung F4 2TB drives and created the RAID array to a total...
Hey guys, so I have a very strange problem. I left my desktop running one night while I was partying, and when I got back it was turned off and wouldn't turn on again. Here are my specs:
Seasonic SS-430HB 430 Watt PSU
Biostar NF325-A7 Socket 754 Mobo
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Sapphire Radeon...
Yeah that's pretty much what I've gathered after reading the forums. I was leaning towards crossfire because it supposedly works better and hybrid crossfire lets me mix and match different graphics cards (like for example a 3870 x2 with a regular 3870). I'm just concerned about finding the right...
Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'm going with the C2D 8400 for my CPU. I'm a little confused about what you mean when you say "standard aa" and "transparency aa", I'm not familiar with those terms. I always thought 4xaa was just the "ideal" aa setting most gamers look for.
Hmm "the holy...
I recently bought a sweet LG 24 inch monitor with 1920x1200 resolution. Currently I have an old gaming PC on it (A64 3200+ with 1950xt 256mb AGP GPU), which I am probably going to replace this summer with a new build. I'm concerned about whether a single GPU, like the 8800gt or the upcoming...
Wow that's pretty awesome. The one thing preventing me from buying a 360 was the fear that it would ROD on me and I would have to end up sending it to MS for another malfunction-prone refurbished unit, and repeat the cycle ad-infinitum like many other unfortunate souls. If Costco just gives me a...
Wow thanks for the info, Crayon, didn't know that. Do you have a link to one of those forums? Do you know if you can figure out which Elite's have BenQ drives based on the serial number?
Uh oh, another keyboard/mouse vs controller debate
Kb/m combo is better for twitch shooters, where you have to turn around quickly and shoot. Otherwise they are the same. And if you are bad at shooters, you will get owned regardless of whether you play on a console or on PC...
OK just to clarify, it seems like you are talking about the 90 day refund policy. You're son's 360 was purchased less than 90 days before the return so you got a full refund. I am specifically asking about the 2 year warranty from Costco. That is, if the 360 was bought more than 90 days ago but...
One Caveat: The Elite is reported to have the noisy and malfunction-prone Hitachi DVD drives. The DVD drive is the noisiest part of the 360, and accounts for a great number of 360 malfunctions, such as disc scratching.
I would wait until Elite's get the new BenQ drives before buying one.
Question: If you do exchange an Xbox from Costco for a new one within the 2 year warranty, does the new 360 also get another 2 year warranty? Or just the 1 year from Microsoft?
