Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
After 2 years & 3 weeks my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 motherboard suddenly died on me. Kinda leaves a bitter taste since its just out of warrenty.
I was running this in combo with an i7 920 D0. Half the time it was running on 3.8ghz.
My question: Would you replace the mobo with another decent X58...
There is no point in doing so...
The default black level varies around 0.45 cd/m² if i remember correctly which is poor so it's normal you are not pleased at how the display performs in this regard. Calibrate & it will be fixed.
Every type of display needs to be calibrated to get the most out...
The reason why the color is so drastic is because of the hue/saturation levels of his cam recorder. For you it might be extremely blue, on his monitor it might look greenish or red depending on the white point of the monitor. Like mentioned a couple of posts above me you need to calibrate to get...
You won't like to hear this but RMA... definitely not normal. The zr24w doesn't suffer from any kind of annoying buzzing sounds that plagues some other panels out there.
Black levels are fine but you need to get your hands on a hardware calibration tool to calibrate properly. You will never get the same kind of result using someone else's icc profile.
These are my results:

Default settings yes. If you calibrate the screen properly you can get black values of 0.17 - 0.18 cd/m2 which are good. (very good if you consider the price range)
I'm sorry but i think you are experiencing IPS glow. Why do i think this? There was a guy (way back into this thread) who had 3 replacements for the exact same reason but didn't see any improvement at all. If i remember correctly it was also his first IPS screen.
If it starts to slowly...
It all depends where you are located.. From previous posts i get the impression US customer service is much more effective & faster than UK or EU customer service.
Same here, i start to see a slight glow from a foot away, increasing if i move closer.
But that's way too close to be sitting to a 24" screen anyway so i don't see the problem...
The black depth at default settings is mediocre (=pure black looks like *very* dark gray) while the color accuracy actually is very good out of the box (which is not common).
You need to calibrate to vastly improve the black depth. I can achieve a black depth of 0.17 cd/m2 which is considered to...
Blackbird
Good remark/question but you kinda answered it yourself already.
I'm in no way enough informed to give a technical answer but if you can trust tftcentral.co.uk it seems that every single panel they review (cheaper or more expensive) seems to be troubled by this "issue". Lower...
I don't have my colorimeter right now but judging from a white screen i also have a slight deviation towards the bottom of the screen on both of my panels. Though definitely not to the extent i would even consider replacing them. (first time i really notice it) I will post updated results next...
