Recommended budget xeon & mobo for video encoding and gaming

Would it maybe make sense to go with a LGA2011-v3 cpu and board then? Since those boards are like half the price.

Yeah ideally I don't replace any other components just cpu and mobo.

Not really looking for a dual cpu system. Just looking for something to replace my current cpu and board.

Recommended budget xeon & mobo for video encoding and gaming

Hey dudes! I'm looking at potentially upgrading my cpu and mobo to help speed up some video encoding if i can do it on the cheap. I currently have an FX 9370 and it's ok but encoding 4k video takes forever. Anyone have any suggestions on cheap ebay xeons 8 core+ xeons + mobo that could do...

    gtx 480 overheating on startup

I have 2 gtx 480s in sli and both have kuhler 620s on them, The other day I booted up the machine and the bottom card started to get crazy hot and hits 110c within minutes even if not doing anything and then shuts off. Running just the overheating card without sli same thing happens...

Just picked up an fx 9370

So I haven't had much time to play around with it over the weekend but I did try to do some over clocking to see what I could get. It seems that because my motherboard does not support the processor I have hit a bit of a wall. No matter what my clocking is at if my ram clocking is not set to...

Just picked up an fx 9370

I'm dumb! I cool&quiet got turned on thats why my cpu clocks didn't go up properly. Now when I clock the memory at 1600 i see all 20gigs at bootup at 1600 but windows sees 11 with only 2 usable :S not sure whats going on there.

So in trying to clock my ram at its proper speed (1600) I managed to mess something up. I was able to clock it at 1600 with the ocz so I took them out again couldnt get just the g.skills to 1600 on thier own for some reason. So i put the ocz back in and now I cant get 1600 anymore and my...

So i took the ocz out and my pc mark score went from 5052 down to 4580. It still says im running my g.skills at 533 MHz :S I have the bios timings and everything set manually no idea why it wont show it at 800 :S

Yeah I planned on running all the benchmarks without the ocz ram in to see if it makes a difference. Will be doing that tonight as well.

Negative. This is a rev 1 board :( so it technically doesn't support the cpu. Hopefully I can get the ram issue figured out and try doing some OCing tomorrow.

    hmmm in the PCmark score I noticed it doesnt have my memory rated properly? Memory 20,480 MB Module 1 2,048 MB OCZ DDR3 @ 533 MHz Module 2 2,048 MB OCZ DDR3 @ 533 MHz Module 38,192 MB G.Skill DDR3 @ 667 MHz Module 48,192 MB G.Skill DDR3 @ 667 MHz Shouldn't it read 800MHz for each? I thought...
