Which portrait mode monitors next to 30" LCD

unfortunately it's not possible to use nvidia surround and AFAIK, eyefinity to play games in a PLP setup. there is however a software option you can use called SoftTH but that only works with DX9 games (someone correct me if i'm wrong). so if you were to do a PLP setup you would pretty much only...

Which portrait mode monitors next to 30" LCD

yeah i've been on the 3x30" setup for about a year and a half now and it's been awesome. unfortunately with this setup i also have to dish out for at least tri sli which i don't want to keep doing for each new generation of gpus. also i dont like the 1600 width constraint in normal desktop usage...

Which portrait mode monitors next to 30" LCD

not yet.. keep getting outbid and i'm still double minded on whether i should stick with my current setup (3x30" PPP) or sell 2 of them and replace them with the 20" ones. yes, it's a downgrade but im really digging the 30" PLP setup and 3x30" in surround has kind of run its course for me.

Eyefinity, updated AMD drivers & PLP

damn that sucks. ah well, in a way i didn't want to part with my 680s anyway.

Eyefinity, updated AMD drivers & PLP

i'm not clear if your response means a) you can't confirm that eyefinity supports this setup, or b) eyefinity absolutely does not support this setup even though they said it would

Eyefinity, updated AMD drivers & PLP

can anyone confirm if eyefinity does indeed support PLP in this setup now? that is, a 30" in the center with 2x20" in portrait mode on the sides.

Which portrait mode monitors next to 30" LCD

so did anyone end up going with a 30" flanked by 2x2007fp? im in the same boat with a single u3011. also now that eyefinity 2.0 is out, are there any issues with this setup from a gaming standpoint or does it just work as expected?

    Tri SLI surround issue

ok, i understand that my cpu is a bottleneck. i plan to upgrade to P67 once a certain motherboard comes out. however, i still don't get why my fps is capped at 45 with tri sli and surround. SLI, no surround, vsync enabled -> 60fps cap SLI, w/ surround, vsync enabled -> 60fps cap Tri SLI, no...

    Tri SLI surround issue

also, when i disable surround in tri SLI, the fps goes back to 60 when vsync is enabled. so it's only an issue with the combination of surround and tri SLI. oh, forgot to mention, im using the 270.61 drivers.

    Tri SLI surround issue

i've been using 2x gtx 580's SLI in surround for a few weeks with no major issues. i could easily play older games (TF2 and L4D2 to name a couple) at 4800x2560 with every setting completely maxed out including AA. i always leave vsync enabled so whenever i played these games i could see my fps...
