Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
No, no snaps. When the destroy occurred all snaps went as well.
I looked into this discussion about recovering based on removing new uberblocks and rolling back to the TXG I am looking for:

Hi all, have a bit of a situation here...
Did an accidental destroy on my ZFS filestore. Not the whole pool, 3 other filesystems are there, just the one I care about got destroyed. Not sure how it happened, was using zrep and a zfs destroy got issued.. dunno. Probably something I did.
Anyway...
I use it for work, but also has some home VM's on separate VLANs. It's heavily used. I will move the more IO intensive applications onto SSD and keep things like file servers or Active Directory on spindles. My testing machines will need to be on SSD as they are heavy IO.
Ah yes, sorry. RAID 1...
Hey all, I've decided after running spindles for ESXi for a long time I need to go SSD. I need IOPS, my queuing is getting bad with 20 VM's running across 8 disks.
I am planning on using Samsung 850 evo's for the job. 2 at first in a RAID10 on an Areca 1882i.
Server is running ESXi 5.5...
Ironic that I am having more problems with the more 'stable' version :) Ok I just picked up 32GB of ECC registered RAM, should be here in the next few days.
Well spoke too soon. Froze again :( Going to order ECC RAM today.
If that doesn't do it I will pitch OmniOS. I am not too sure about the stability of this compared to OI.

Indeed, however when I lost my iSCSI service the OS hadn't had anything done to it in many months. I 'set it and forget it' when it comes to making changes to the NAS. One day it just decided to take a crap with no explanation. It's not like I upgraded or something. If I had, it would have been...
I have no idea if the driver can be updated. OmniOS documentation seems almost non-existent in any useful detail (I guess you use Illumos docs) and community support seems very limited as well (basically, this forum). I couldn't find drivers anywhere for NICs for OmniOS.
I was going to force...
In the category of what the actual f, we have a new winner.
I have a mirror of the OmniOS install so I yanked one of the drives and used it to install OI 151a8. It didn't bring up the link at 10G either.
I then decided to use a Debian live CD and try that, Debian had no problem bringing up the...
Yup. It's detected by the system and according to the OmniOS HCL (they reference the Illumos HCL):
http://illumos.org/hcl/
It's there.
Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller 10-Gigabit X540-AT2
Driver: ixgbe
PCI ID: 8086,1528
Originating manifest: driver-network-ixgbe.mf
It shows...
Hi all, bit of an issue.
I have built a SM storage server which has dual onboard NIC's, Intel X540-T2's. Mobo is an X9SRH-7TF.
My ESXi host has dual Intel X540-T2's as well.
OmniOS refuses to negotiate to 10Gb, only 1Gb. I am using, for now, a Cat6 cable between them, no switch. I am...
Alright, so I finished flashing both M1015's using my Asus board by doing this:
http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12767.msg124393#msg124393
And I also flashed the onboard SAS to IT firmware using this process:

Couldn't have been...
Hmm.. makes sense. I'll keep testing to see what's causing the freezes, so far it looks like it's the M1015.
@_Gea, as soon as I pulled the M1015 it never froze. I am flashing it now and will check to make sure there's nothing in conflict. I am going to keep the server running without the card...
Why do I need ECC RAM for ZFS? I know it is the best to get, I just happened to have a stack of non-ECC here and wanted to make use of it for now. I've been running ZFS quite successfully without ECC for about 2-3 years on my old ZFS server.
Hi all, I just did an install of OmniOS and it doesn't appear to be too stable. It boots fine, then freezes between 10 mins and 1 hr after.
The system is a new build, as follows:
SuperMicro X9SRH-7TF
Xeon E1620v2 CPU
8 sticks of Kingston non-ECC RAM (32GB). All sticks are identical.
IBM M1015...
