I'm going to bump this cause no one is defending the Opty

Hummm... Let take a 3200 Venice going for $200 CDN and the 165 opty going for $393 CDN thats $193 in the diff. I just can't see the Opty being that much faster when doing one thing at a time. Wouldn't I be better off putting that money into a better video card. Say I was going to buy $200 card...

I starting to look for a new mobo and CPU and a video card I've had great luck in the past with AMD and was thinking about going that way again. I know everone is going to tell me that the Opteron 165 is the way to go....but is the Dual core that much better. I running a 2500 XP( Clock-locked)...

I must be the cheapest man alive but I just could spend $1000+ dollars on chip. For that kinds money I'd want to be able to DRIVE it :)

WTB: PC 133 128MB or higher the lower the price the better.
