but maybe i can try removing the power button too to get rid of the front board completely... although i probably need to find out first why does it need 3 wires for 1 on/off button...

what can be done if the crt is just switching the menu on and off after every 48 seconds? like first shows the menu for 10 seconds and then waits exactly 48 seconds every time to show the menu for 10 seconds again...
i even disconnected the buttons cable from the inside of the monitor...
