ok I got it to post...my power switch was shorting out....
now I can't seem to get it start to boot...whether I specify floppy, HD, CDROM or whatever in bios...I can't get it to boot any device...

Ok I have a setup that I'm building for a project of mine....
I'm having some issues with....I've tried 2 different MB's with the same result...
when I power the system on (cpu hs/fan, memory, and video card with a PSU on a test bench) The power starts to come on...cpu fan spins up then...
my question is in regards to how to hook up the power to this card...For those familiar with this system it has a direct Red ATX2 power connector near the PCIe slot on the MB. Do I connect this directly to a molex connector from the PSU? What about the power connector on the video card itself...
this is some crazy arse stuff...the system shipped with bios from 3-05 on it....when I use any of the newest bios files...the fan runs full tilt and cpu shows temp of 80degrees...but when I use the 3-05 bios...everything runs fine...cpu shows temp of 40degrees and fan is quiet...shuttle support...
bios shows temp of 80....everything is installed right.... fans are on... etc
where is this cool and quiet setting in the bios???
Do I have to adjust some things in the Frequency/Voltage control section of the bios?
how can I test to see if it is the cpu or mb etc?
