    Ok, so i just took apart my computer and put the mobo (only cpu and HSF connected) on a grounded surface. I attached the 24 pin cable to it and it started making the same noise.

    The problem with checking the BIOS is that no monitors that I plug in are recognized (they turn on, but act as if they aren't plugged into something).

    Yeah, any power supply (I have 2 extra cheapo PSUs I tried out) makes that squealing sound with mine. It didn't recognize the monitor, so I can't tell if it posts. Also, I found out that it doesn't turn on using the power switch on the front of the case and that the fans run on highest speeds..
