Last night my 5770 xfire setup started corrupting the screen when in fullscreen 3D. I popped the cards out checked them over and tested each one and both tested fine in single mode, so I tried rolling back the driver, still same issue when in crossfire mode.
If you alt-tab out the screen goes...
I am not forcing AA but i have everything cranked to max@1920x1080, I see drops in kroms canyon when looking in certain areas but it never goes below 45fps. But in the lance hwy in Knoxx it bounces from 20-60dps and gets jittery. Funny thing is turning of things like dynamic shadows or lowering...
Yea the gains are barley noticable to be honest, never had a stability issue though which is good.
I hope someday they improve performance for multi gpu setups but I doubt it.
Recently added a 2nd 5770 to my rig and all my games but one has seen massive performance gains, but of course that one has to be the game I play most often. Borderlands. For some reason the performance is the same in that game as it was with a single card which leads me to believe that either...
no, sorry thats total system load(based on info at hardwarecanucks), i was under the impression that the 4770 had a higher w draw at load .
imo i don't think it matters, the card is a beast for the money and you can always add a 2nd down the road for some serious firepower. if you especially...
the 4770 eats the 3850 alive, and costs $99, what more of an excuse do you need?
but to answer you question, i believe the 3850 peaks draw around 185-200w under load, the 4770 peak a little higher around 215-220 but its idle is about 30w higher around 150w where as the 3850 idles closer 120w.
I have a Biostar motherboard (T790GX128M) with an integrated HD3300 that i am using with a 42" Phillips 1080p TV that only has HDMI and component, no VGA. The problem is that when its hooked to the tv and the ATI drivers are installed the screen looks like crap even when the TV is set to PC...
i have an e6300 running at 7x501 on a p5b-deluxe. i can successfully run 3dmark 03, 01 and 06 loops as well as dual 32mb superpi's, orthos, prime95, tat load, and pcmark05 etc and have no issues at all but for some reason 3dmark05 locks up to a black screen after the first test unless i run it...
noise is of no concern to me, the only important thing is performance, and the ultra panflo 92mm can move near 100cfm so that seems to me would kill the stock setup.
just wondering if anyone knows if the 92mm fan on the AC freezer 7 pro is replacable. i haven't recieved mine yet but i would like to add a panaflo ultra 92mm to it.
