Bolt Through Back Plate for Socket 478 needed badly

Here's what I ended up with: http://www.heatsinkfactory.com/cpu-retainer-clip-intel-p4-4781.html Your pick was really close, oc, but for use with M 478 (mobile) chips. The site you led me to had the exact part I needed. Thanks again.

Bolt Through Back Plate for Socket 478 needed badly

Sorry to bother you guys, but does anyone have any ideas.. I'm using an old P4 Northwood 3.0Ghz w/ Asus P4C800-E Deluxe as an HTPC. I have a Scythe Ninja 2 for the heat sink. Problem is this thing is really weighty and the push pin mounting system that comes with it is an absolute joke...

Anyone have a Asus p8p67 and a Scythe Mugen 2?

Do I continue seeing problems with this board (P8P67) because it's a problematic board or because everyone buys Asus? I'm thinking other boards have issues to but the ASUS P8P67 keeps popping up because Asus is the "go to" board for so many pc enthusiasts? I don't know.

    P8P67 vs P8P67 Pro

Omophorus, thanks very much for your thoughts there. With that said, I'm going to go ahead with my Asus P8P67 build. If Ivy Bridge ushers in some significant advantages I'll have a compatible board that possibly may not take advantage of the nth-degree of what Ivy offers but do well enough...

So yeah, I'd ABSOLUTELY use your case. I'm using one thats 10 years old. Please don't pay for another case. Here's a pic of my beloved ATC-110. BEHOLD!

Can I Start Using A 7 Year Old Lian Li PC-V2000B Case or Buy Something New?

Drummond, I got you beat. I'm building an all new machine around an i7 & Asus P8P67 in my all time favorite case. A Coolermaster ATC-110. I bought my ATC-110 in 2002 and it's, still, in my opinion, the best looking case I've ever seen. Big, roomy, solid aluminium, hinged door, great airflow and...

    P8P67 vs P8P67 Pro

 Hey guys, I am also considering purchasing the P8P67 standard board from Asus. My BIG question (as a relative noob) that I cannot figure out: If I buy the P8P67 it's my understanding that I will be able to use it with Ivy Bridge at a lter date. My question is: when Ivy...
