Just returned this after discovering the 6290 model does not have HDR or game mode support making it unusable due to high response time.
Also the display quality is poor and there was a blue menu that kept flickering randomly.
Get a dell or phillips IPS monitor instead.
Due to the width limitation of the Ikea Fredde desk, the maximum triple monitor setup that could fit would be 3 x 22" monitors.
Another configuration that could fit would be 24" 1920x1200 w/ 2x 19.5" 1080's on either side
I do not care much for infinity, the bezels would be too bothersome for...
Does anyone know the difference between the Samsung UN48JU6700 & 6800 ?
Only $100 price difference.

Has anyone tried 40" and a 48"? Is the extra real estate worth it?
4x20" monitors still seems like it would give a good amount of screen space for multi tasking with 4 windows. Also with 40" you would not have to turn your head as much.
4x24" monitor array is tempting but it seems fairly...
That is a good point, but its still a big high for me. Any idea if Samsung tvs get big reductions on Black Friday?
Another thing I like about the curve is that the stand can be removed when placing it on the desk for optimal sitting height.
By the way, what is one connect box?
I know this thread is about Samsungs but it turns out I was looking at US prices when I decided on the 48" JU7500, Canadian price is over $2000. 6700 is $1700 CND
So can anyone vouch for why they would pay the extra compared to a Wasabi Mango UHD 48" $800 - $1000 depending on pixel perfect or...
I am planning to use the rig with a 48-55" 4K monitor and I don't plan on buying two GPU's since I will probably go with a 950-960 and then upgrade when HBM V2 releases next year and a single card will do 4K 60fps+
The case I am eyeing is Corsair 380T since IMO it has best ventilation &...
DDR4 does not seem to be worth the extra cost at the moment so I would prefer to use 16GB DDR3 though there are currently no socket 1151 itx motherboards in North Amercia that support DDR3.
I would consider Haswell but Skylake just came on the market and has 2-4 years of upgrades/refreshes...
Hey guys,
I am thinking about picking up a 48" or 50" JU7500 for desktop use from about 3 feet away.
Can some owners please recommend this or not? Is the PWM really an issue with this? Does 100% Brightness fix the PWM?
Has anyone tried flat & curve? Is the curve really worth it?
Also, 55"...
Just checked out an OLED which looks the best by far, though 55" is too big for comfort IMO. I found curved 48" to be optimal for under 3 feet.
The only thing is that the only curves at 48 are from samsung which have PWM, can motion blur be turned off completely on these tvs?
55 could fit on the desk if the stand is in the middle, though the edges of the tv would be protruding a bit.
Is OLED noticeably better picture quality besides the deeper blacks? I just checked out a 48" samsung curved panel and a 49" IPS and was more impressed by the samsung, though to be...
