i think the memory is fine...
the comp does work if i unplug both drives...
the comp does work if i just plug either one of the drives...whether i use a sata or pata...
i tried pluggin both drives with a pata...and it seems to boot up like before...the drive seems slower than the sata...
ya...originally...i thought the problem was either a virus or power supply...so i formatted and reinstalled windows...
but that did not fix the problem...
any other suggestions?
ya i can still get into bios...it goes blank after all the dos prompts disappear...
instead it shows nothing where the "Windows XP" logo is suppose to be displayed with the loading bar...
the screen just stays black...
i dont think it gets caught in windows cuz the operating system never...
i actually figured out that it only doesnt boot up when both my dvdrom drive and my dvd-r drive are powered...
is there some conflict with using one serial ata and the other type of connection?
and is there a way to fix it...
