Right now I have an HD4850 connected by the HDMI adaptor and cable to my samsung syncmaster T260HD. The picture goes through fine but there is this strange alarm like sound playing along with the sound that is loud and annoying. Does anyone know what it is? Is there a way for me not to have...
As a nOOb to PC gaming with a rig I built I guess I don't get why one would change their drivers to the new version if everything is running well. Is there any benefit to doing this if the new version doesn't have some new gotta have feature?
Out you Nvidia Deamons Out I say!! :D
On a serious note.. I am considering upgrading to a 4870x2 from 2x4850's and was wondering what I would have to do since I am rather noob at this sort of stuff.
I know this is a major nOOb question but..... when you upgrade from one card to two do you need to get a card from the same manufacturer or is just having the same model, say 8800gt ultra, good enough? thanks
thanks for the reply. I'm just getting into building computer gaming systems (just did my first build) and I'm just amazed how fast things move  and how addictive is is to upgrade! :D Now the question is how long until the 4870x2 is knocked off it's throne :D
What about GRID? At 1920x1200 are there any games that will use more than 512? Currently I have 2x4850's (512mb) so I can assume I am safe for a while then>?
