    Monitor buzzing/whining common?

I know that the buzzing sound exists in a few monitors. I have the Dell 3007wfp-hc and at full brightness it begins to buzz. However because 100% brightness is not what I use it is not a problem. The only advice I have is to trying turning down the brightness to see if it stops buzzing at any...

    HD-Bits invite

I would really like to get in on this, if anybody has any left... been looking for a while for a good HD content oriented torrent site. I would trade an invite for a Demonoid invite, but alas it is gone. Also Revolutiontt is currently closed to new accounts. So if you have any left, PM me!

    Mac Pro question (graphics Programs)

Revo is correct, and I should clarify. Any adjustment layer can be moved from a small res file to a large res to save processing time. However any actual image manipulation like sharpen, dodge, burn, patch tool, should be used on the actual image and never transfered.

    Mac Pro question (graphics Programs)

You have to do all of your manipulations in layers, levels, contrast, dodge, burn, etc.. I believe that photoshop does not use layers in the same way it would to alter an image. They are more mathematical and therefore pretty much like a vector tool. Try it out, I have used it many, many...

    Mac Pro question (graphics Programs)

As Wanktron was saying, he is dealing with video files, encoding, things like that so a Quad core processor would be extremely more efficient than a Core 2 Duo. He also mentioned difference in software which I do agree with in the MAC vs PC debate. Each OS has software that is unique to each and...

    Mac Pro question (graphics Programs)

It is true that most graphic designers use macs, however there are some firms that use PCs as well. For whatever reason they just seem to be more popular and I think that goes back a long time to before MACs had Intel processors. As far as your computer bogging down, any computer dealing with...

Dell Censors Panel lottery info. Share info here.

The previous post about the RT803 rumors being false is incorrect. I just ordered (2) 2007WFP on the 26th and received them today. Both are RT803's and both shipped out of Austin, Texas.

    20" S-IPS panels, LM201U0x

This doesn't exactly help on deciding on the LP2065, but here it is anyways. (HP live chat session) you: I was wondering if the LP2065 was a S-IPS screen Kevin: Happy to check on that for you, just a moment, please. you: Ok Kevin: Thanks for waiting online. Kevin: I'm sorry that the...

Got my HP LP3065 up and running...

How well does this monitor compare to the other 30in lcds from the other companies? It seems as though this look to be one of the more solid displays, based on reviews and cust. reviews, but there isn't a whole heck of a lot of information out about it. I'd mainly be using it for editing...
