    Petitioning for 970 Refund

Sounds like either poor optimization or a misprint to me. Got to remember the current consoles only have 8gb of memory soldered in. So I doubt any developer in their right mind would allow a game right now chow up to 16gb of system RAM lol. Unless it's PC only.

    Petitioning for 970 Refund

Look at around chunks 25 and 26. It completely goes downhill for the 970 while the 980 stays consistent and strong. But hey guys, this is because of "good design" and an "intended feature". To think some people are actually defending Nvidia or making excuses for them on this. I mean... wow...

    Petitioning for 970 Refund

Actually the ROPs and L2 cache were advertised and marketed. They used it to differentiate the GTX 970 and 980 on review and tech sites. You know, where they aim to stir up interest and gossip throughout the community, not to mention where many potential buyers base their info. Creig already...

    Petitioning for 970 Refund

By the way, just to remind folks, and from what I've gathered, it's not just the VRAM capacity that's falsely advertised. It also doesn't have the 64 ROPs or the 2048kb of L2 cache that was claimed and advertised. As someone who bought a MSI 970 because they intend to upgrade to a 1440p...

    Petitioning for 970 Refund

You are truly a useful consumer. I bet companies all over the world wish everyone had your mindset, so they could continuously rip people off with false advertising. It's the principle of the matter. Where do you draw the line? In business and in life you say what you mean and mean what you...

    Nvidia 980/970 Availability Thread

Bit frustrated. I have my eyes set on the MSI GTX 970 Gaming and every time, every where I look, it's out of stock. Nvidia really dropped the ball on their production and sales estimates.

Would an i5-3570K bottleneck SLI 970s?

I'd like to try SLI, but I'm hesitant that my i5 Ivy could handle SLI'd 970s...

Card for Skyrim with ALOT of texture mods etc.

3-4gb should be fine for Skyrim. 2gb was the great lie. When Skyrim first came out, people said "yup, yup, 2gb is plenty for modded Skyrim!" Wrong! Skyrim can and will hit 2gb, even at 1080p.. However, 3gb and 4gb are fine. Reason is because Skyrim's engine has a weird way of seemingly...

I'm tired of the PC games market. Console at 30FPS, PC at 60FPS.

    Wtf is console texture quality?

I'm tired of the PC games market. Console at 30FPS, PC at 60FPS.

I think he's confusing the way some game engines handle physics and animation. Take Skyrim, for example. When Skyrim is played beyond 60fps, say 120fps, it causes all sorts of wonky shit because the game's physics and animation are governed by the frame rate. Coincidentally, Skyrim is a console...

Could be this true?.. GTX 880 rumored details

Gotta be fake. 256-bit bus? Makes no sense with the GTX 780 being 384-bit.

    Worth waiting for Maxwell

The extra vram and ability to efficiently push that vram with a 780 would help a game like modded Skyrim. Skyrim can and will cap 2gb of vram, even at 1080p with minimal to light texture mods.

The interesting thing about this is that the human eye does not see in frames per second. That's something the "the human eye cannot see anything over 60 frames herpa derp" crowd never seem to understand. You know who I'm talking about. Any time there's a frame rate discussion on a mainstream...
