Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Since I use Linux as my primary os, I've just started using wget and curl for making mirrors of sites and/or pages. These two tools can be complied from source to work with windows or someone has likely already created a windows binary and posted it somewhere.
How many of you use your disk storage systems as personal internet archives. I'm not talking about Pr0n but I'm sure one could lump it into this category. What I am talking about is, how many of you have your own personal internet archive similar to textfiles.com archive or the real internet...
I'm am looking to have a setup of triple ASUS EAH6950 card in tri-crossfire setup. I would like some recommendations on power supplies that would have the required 8pin + 6pin Power connector for each card. If there is a power supply that would have 3 8pin + 6pin Power connectors, please let me...
So I'm thinking about getting rid of some equipment (or some kit for those across the Atlantic). I had gotten this equipment in college from ebay with the intention of getting my CCNA, now after having been out of college for 5 years this coming may I highly doubt I'd even want to use it in my...
I must be out of my bloody mind... I have been looking at everyone's setups and thought I was going to have the perfect setup for me... Glad I hadn't bought anything yet as I was just calculating the space usage on my setup that I have been looking into...
I'm wondering what everyone here...
Blue Fox, Thanks for that info.. I'll look into that, but that raises another question if I build a 48V Batter bank would I be able to hook the -48V Power Supplies directly too it?
BINGO! Found what i was looking for. Thanks Skakruk.
On google I was searching "12 DC Power Supply" and that didn't give my very many good results. I visited the link you gave me and saw that they had ATX in the name so I went back to my search and changed it to "ATX Car Power Supply" and...
Hello All,
Normally there is so much information floating around on here I can find the answer to a question without posting. But this time I'm a bit stumped.
I'm am in the process of designing a 12 Solar System and I have everything I could possibly want able to run off 12V DC except for...
Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking about using the Intel Xeon X5680 (Westmere) but hadn't got far enough yet in my research to see what processors were compatible with the DUAL LGA1366 boards. Only just started researching the parts I am going to get for building this system.
I am...
Well I guess if I can't do the QUAD intel I could at least do a DUAL LGA1366 Six-Core giving me a total of 12 cores. So my choices for my new system are Dual-Six or Quad-Six. 12 Core Intel or 24 Core AMD.
I do like the new Intel chips just wish someone had a board that could give me 24 cores...
Does anyone know where I can find a QUAD LGA1366 motherboard. I have found a QUAD 1207(F) for AMD Opterton CPU's on Newegg. But I want to see if there is an equivalent Intel board with QUAD CPU sockets. Server class quality not desktop class.
Looking to build a QUAD Six-Core system if I...
That is true. I guess if I ever reach that point then I will likely do that. Currently will only require storage for 30 ppl, And just want to make sure I am planning for ability to expand easily. Will likely start out at 12 TB and then expand when needed.
I didn't say I would need more the 200...
In the planning stages of building my own NAS/SAN system I have recently read about the use of sas expander to expand the amount of storage available on one system. After finding that with sas expanders you can use sas/sata disk I was quite pleased with that little info. My question however...
All traffic will be on LAN and Connections from the terminals to the LTSP will be 10/100. I'm just wanting to make sure that data serving is on the LTSP server itself is quick since all the action will happen on the LTSP server it doesn't matter that the clients terminals won't be fast, they...
