Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've OC'ed my 920 to 3.5ghz so far with a divider of 2:8 for 1600mhz RAM. Should I bump the divider up so I'm running my RAM at 1600mhz? I'm wanting to OC to 3.8ghz.
I use the Firefox search bar, I can't just keep a Bing tab because I frequently have <40 tabs open at any given time. I only quote search times as a whole, in a year this is how much extra time I spend etc. But you're right, in the end the loading time doesn't effect anything in a major way for...
FF3, Vista. I takes about 1 sec for Google to load, and almost 2 for Bing. If I were to add in my lost time due to bum search results from Bing, my number would be higher. If you have a really fast connection then the difference is negligible. Google is trying to be as snappy as possible on all...
A 2 second difference in loading time doesn't seem like much, but consider this: I do on average about 130 Google searches per day, if each search took just 2 seconds longer, (due to loading times, lack of relevance) I would spend an extra 13 hours per year (assuming just 300 days of searching...
A nice feature Firefox has is this, you can type just the name of a website in the address bar and it will do a Google "I'm Feeling Lucky" search in the background. And it seamlessly brings up the page you want 99% of the time.
I'm on 3Mbp/s DSL, I notice a difference. Google is still more relevant, for example the other day I searched for a way to limit the download speed on a Mac computer.
Using the search string "limit internet speed osx" in Google, it gives me the answer in the second link down. I tried to find a...
Yeah, the images are stunning. But seriously if this is the work of ET beings, why would they come to earth just to imprint funky images in fields? Nah, these are pranksters. Albeit talented pranksters.
It's personal preference, I don't believe sticking with something you know works well equates to being afraid to try new things. I try every new thing I can get my hands on, some things stick, some don't. Bing just isn't good enough to supplant Google as my search tool yet.
It's search interface is cluttered, and a little slow compared to Google. And I don't see the same relevance in search results, especially when searching for more obscure items.
That is not normal, something is wrong with it. Send it back for RMA and hope you get an undamaged CPU back. It's hard to tell without being able to see it, but maybe the bot that was stamping the plate on dented in the edges.
Here are 2 guides for setting up PhysX that will help you understand how it works, the first link is a bit outdated, but still has good info.
