Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I don't use a separate file server for it, but I wrote a bash script (I use fluxbox for my interface) which goes out and parses my multimedia partition and fills in an included fluxbox menu with everything found (well, this is just for video, not music).
If I were to adapt this for...

Total cost? Free.
Completely customized HTPC interface? Priceless.
For htpc building blocks, there's Open Source. For everything else, there bash. :D
I've got Gentoo linux on my box, and just use FluxBox for the interface - in particular the "right-click on screen pulls down the system menu". That is, the flux menu is my interface. I put my media onto an encrypted partition, and wrote a script (accessible from the menu) that will re-make my...
I bought a "3-way" house light switch (SPDT) and mounted it onto a 5.25" plastic drive cover for my case - mainly because radio shack didn't have any SPDT switches in stock. One pole has 12V, one has 5V; the third pole goes to the 12V pin on a molex connector - along with ground - and the case...
Very nice.
In my X-Qpack I put a fan controller (the vantec one) in the 3.5" slot. If you need a floppy to load raid drivers for installing windoze, there's articles out there on how to burn your own setup cd that includes your own custom drivers... If you just want a 3.5" floppy in it then...
My Seasonic 430W (nice and quiet) fits with a plextor slot-load DVD (god, I love the look of that drive, and plextor's are amazing drives) - certainly when the dvd is in the bottom 5.25" slot... haven't tried it mounted in the top slot, although it looks like that might be a problem.
You should let the water system run without the mobo powered (jumper the 20/24 pin connector - lots of sites show how) for a while to get all the air (those bubbles and "cloud" you are seeing) out. I haven't tried my new t-line setup yet (yes it's in a X-Qpack, but I don't have the radiator...
I am water cooling, but my idle is about 3C above case ambient, and about 9C above under load. Is not overclocked, but Asus A8N-SLI deluxe said it was undervolting it a bit by default; changed that to the high end of spec voltage... (bios also was undervolting my ram)
If those temps are correct then there should definitely be something wrong. I have used both the drop-in-the-center method that AS recommends, and the old thin-spread approach, and I also prefer a thin spread. But then again I also use Ceramique (non-conductive) instead of Silver...
With the...
Side note: I have the XP-120 (different system than the one in my sig) and prefer to blow into the HS as I feel I get more air flow over the ram sticks and the voltage regulators... added bonus is that it's probably easier to blow the dust out as it is on top when I pop the fan.
[edit] then...
I just bought a cheapie lcd + thermocouple at frozencpu for the external cooler I am building; I plan to either use part of a heat pipe from left over equipment (if the pipe is actually sealed - I looked at one and it was not) or scounge up a small piece of copper I can drill / dremel.
I plan...
Same mb, same cpu, don't have the 7800gtx installed yet (waiting for ramsinks), possibly same ram (can't look it up at the moment)...
My system booted fine, but when I tried the slightest OC it would bomb out. Finally realized that the Asus bios (and I did flash it with the latest stable as...
There is some kind of audio upgrade available for TT (US$25), so maybe that's why audio sucks... :p
From what I have heard (especially from a DVR point of view) KnoppMyth is a good shot; it is a "live cd" (based on Knoppix - the grandaddy of live cds), so you just put it in your CD drive...
