Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I would be a little concerned as well with the 1Gb of memory (you'll want 2Gb for smoooooth Vista operation)....especially if you intend to be watching/recording HD content.
...but...I'm using a very similiar config for my HTPC (3000+ Athlon64, 1Gb DDR, Geforce 6600GT, 80Gb WD 7200rpm IDE...
G15 all the way....UNLESS you dont think you will need or use the LCD (I personally dig having the clock built in). Logitech just released the G11 which is the G15 sans the LCD.
The keyboard has a very good quality build, keys are quiet, and best of all...its backlit for those late night/early...
Excellent! Thank you very much.
Im currently having the TPII-550 power my 7900GT which according to eVGA's website, requires 20A.
I hope to pick up another 7900GT for SLI...but I wasnt sure if my psu would handle them. I wasnt even sure if I had enough to power the one card (even though...
First, let me start by saying that I am pretty PSU ignorant.
Now, my question:
When a video card says that a minimum of 20a on the 12v rails is recommended...
...do they mean the "total" number if the psu has dual rails?
So my Antec TPII-550 has +12V1@19A, +12V2@19A...
...does that mean...
I am now on my second Themaltake TR2-430W.
The first one blew up (literally spewing a flame out the backside of my case).
Newegg sent me a replacement (it was out of the "refund" period so I had to take an exchange)
I'm building a new system now and upon taking apart my old one, I found...
No doubt! Right now, it would be extremely silly not to buy a Core2Duo.
I've been an AMD fan for years...but that doesnt matter. Facts are facts. The Core2's slam the Athlons right now.
Its also pointless to get 2ea 7600's just to "want" SLI. The 7900GT is a much smarter choice.
Im a...
I've used my Dell 19" LCD as well. Same thing.
Interpolation is a issue that effects ALL LCD's. Native resolutions are the nature of the hardware.
It has nothing to do with if its a laptop screen or not. (there are a ton of "gaming" laptops out there nowadays).
Anyone else out there have a Intel D975XBX mobo? I want to know if you get a bunch of 2 digit codes on the bottom right corner of the screen while your system is booting (during POST). Everything seems fine...but I've never seen this before (Ive always built AMD systems). I trying to find out if...
Personally, I still prefer CRT's for gaming. That way Im not stuck to any native resolution and having to deal with the interpolation that occurs when not running at that res.
I game on my 17" Dell Insiron 9300 laptop as well and its clearly not as good looking as my CRT. Since its Geforce...
Do you (or anyone) think this is going to damage my other components? I will RMA the item...but in the meantime, I want to know if I should pull it out of my system immediately.
Everything seems "fine" when the system is powered on. My 3DMark05/06 scores are perfectly in line with what they...
A friend of mine recommended the same thing. I shut it down on my lunch break and came back after work (4 hours later)....and it was on still. The system seems fine when its running...but Im a little concerned I may do it damage.
Im wondering if the Booster X really needs the 4 pin power...
Strange problem. I have a 430Watt Thermaltake PSU along with a just purchased FSP Booster X3 secondary psu for my video card. 2 PSU's in one system.

Performance on my new PC is excellent!...but when I shut down the computer...
