Hmmm, change of plans. My dad doesn't want to take the computer down and start doing stuff to it, but he suggested that there must be some way to connect the DV interface cable to the usb port, probably with another cable. So is there some sort of extender that I can plug into the DV cable, then...
Alright, I know a few people who could probably do it. Actually, at least one of them posts here regularly I think. I'll ask a friend, and if they can't do it then I'll take it to a professional.
