Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've been using a laptop connection and a panel antenna with a USB adapter to access my Optimum wifi account while I'm at work. Problem is, is that the USB adapters seem to degrade over time to where they are no longer useable. I'm not that well versed on this stuff. Would I need a bridge or...
i was thinking the same thing. The first adapter i thought may have blown because I changed antennas with it plugged to the USB. The second I handled much more carefully and ended up with the same result.
I've had two of these that have both pretty much died. They both were working pretty decently but after a couple of weeks they both suddenly lost almost all their functionality and only receive wireless signals at about a 20 foot range. Both were used with a fairly new Presario laptop. Does...
You could try a windsurfer on the antenna. With a concave piece of an aluminum sheet on the antenna I'm getting internet connectivity from my laptop indoors to my neighbor 600 feet or so away. I'm just doing this to test the thing and not for internet access.
I've had 2 of these and the second is getting much better signal strength than the first. It's possible there is a newer revision. The label on the newer one now high gloss instead of a plain aluminum sheet with print.
I also found that that using an improvised wind surfer type device it...
Here's another similar product. The discussion at the bottom says the Alpha adapter has the 8187L chip and not the 8187B the Blueproton adapter has. I don't know if thats accurate or what the difference is. Maybe someone knowledgeable could comment.

I can't imagine anything being as bad as the SOYO rebates. That was a true scam. They were selling MB's as free after the rebate, but wern't paying the rebates.
Do a chargeback. My wife worked for one of the 2 main card processors, and it does not count against you if you chargeback. The funding to Fry's goes into a reserve account and it's their responsibility to resolve the dispute.
He says it's the non pro so it only would have beep codes.
Do you have a cheap video card you could try and maybe another stick of ram. I had this happen a couple of times recently and after swapping parts my Abit board worked fine. The second board was an ECS and I never bothered trouble...
