Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I can run it Prime95 stable at 3.4 with all voltages on spec. Any higher and I have to start playing with volts/etc for very little return.
Even if I only run it at 3.2 (which is the lowest FSB that will let me run the RAM at 1600) I still can't get the RAM working at that speed.
For what ever reason I can't run my RAM at the specced speeds 1600@7/7/7/24 so I'm trying different things before I decide if it's worty sending back. I've got a Q9450 and a P5E3 Premium to play with.
@1275 I can run it at:
5/5/5/20-2N or at 9/9/9/24-1N so I wonder which is better for a...
Many thanks. That's very good news.
It does look very good on paper but I'm worried that HardOCP and few others didn't quite give it a perfect score (that some of the others got from this and other sites). Another small worry is that it doesn't seem to be 80Plus certified, I think all the...
It's a bit confusing though. There's so many PSUs out there no site's reviewed more than a couple. All the ones I've linked to are because of the mostly good reviews they've had on different sites.
Please do, I don't suppose you're going to be using it in a P180 type case?
Many thanks, from your description is it fair to say that the mobo and any other device attached to it (apart for the graphics card) is only going to get 18A from a single 12V line or does the 8-pin ATX12V power connector supply another 18A? I tried to run a few online PSU calculators (I added a...
I've had about 4 PSUs (AOpen[300W+fan went]/other?[too loud]/Antec[380W came with the case]/Antec[480W]) over the last 4 or 5 years and here I am again needing to upgrade. I just wanted to get something that I'm sure is going to last me a few years what ever I put in next. OK right now I might...
Mainly concerned that I'd want most power going to two places: the motherboard+cpu and the graphics card. I'm not sure how that would work with 6 rails and each 12V rail has a lower amperage.
I've also seen the Corsair listed in the UK, for about £150 (they all seem to cost about the same here), but the ETA is 3-4 weeks, and I've not had a lot of luck with ETAs recently. If it was out I'd probably be there. Although at the rate the Q9450s are appearing here I might not need it for a...
I'm putting together a new PC and I've got my new case ready to go P180 B (to be honest I've had it here for a fair while) but I don't think my old Antec True Blue 480 is going to cut it any more.
I've decided to go with a 1kW PSU just to make sure I'm covered for any future eventuality...
