and what does your status say on that shipment? pending or something?
Should I order the Hyper 212+ from here for $30+9shipping or get a Scythe Mugen 2 rev B from Newegg for $35+7.5 shipping? thing's freaking huge!
I'm currently building a new system (i7-875K on an ASUS P7P55D-E Pro) and I had originally planned to get the Hyper 212 HSF. However, Newegg is price gouging and i'm not going to pay $60+shipping for this HSF. Other places, Microcenter (oos at b&m location), Amazon, Provantage, etc... won't ship...
yes, as i posted on every post where Danny decides to rape me, i was not aware of the price increase. Go with AMD in that case, or get a lower i3 or i5
I was gonna buy a HSF anyways, so that was my personal justification for 875K. Also, I was personally tired of using AMD for so many of my...
Already said this elswhere, didn't know about the 860 price increase. However, check with your local microcenter (just a phone call). When I went to grab my 875K, the guy next to me had an 860 order sheet for $200, which might have been old, or he was lucky.
ignore my advice then, I wasn't fully thinking straight
in terms of i7-860 pricing, I didn't know that either, but you could call your local Microcenter to check that easily enough
i'm just gonna list a build that I was thinking of making in that price range.
CPU - I7-860 or I7-875K (not listed on the web) at microcenter for $200 + tax
Case and RAM - Antec 300 Illusion (more fans) and G. skill ripjaws 2x2gb ddr3 1600 150
PSU and mobo - Corsair HX 650W and ASUS...
I just bought the rest of my parts for my build today. i'm gonna just paste part of my excel sheet that helped me organize it here
GPU XFX Radeon 5770 149.99 TigerDirect sale
CPU I7-875K 199.99 Microcenter
Mobo ASUS P7P55D-E Pro 179.99...
Just posting some thoughts/maybe things to think about. I'm kinda lazy to explain everything, but ask and maybe i'll answer.
Processor - I7-875K - $200+tax at Microcenter (not listed on web, but call store, and they'll probably have it. I heard the sale ends this weekend) - faster processor...
then you're gonna feel like you overpayed for most things sadly. For gaming, you really don't need the 1336 socket chipset. Just comparing it to the 1156 chipset (which is what I was debating a week ago)
1) the i7-860 (i have a microcenter nearby, so these cost the same for me) runs at the...
first, check if your cpu comes with HSF. I just bought an intel I7-875K and it doesn't have one, so I have to buy one no matter if I decide to overclock or not.
Secondly, I could be wrong, but Hyper 212 might be only for intel boards? check it up before you buy it. Also, Amazon's site says...
i'm actually looking at making a comp and I'm stuck on the RAM. I was looking at yours, and wondering if you or other people here have looked at other choices:
1) G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4 GB (blue/red) $114 timing - 8-8-8-24
2) G. skill Ripjaws Series 4 GB (blue/red) $110 timing - 7-8-7-24-2N...
