NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Sorry those clips didn't work for you. Seems like false advertising on that eBay listing. I have some clips from my M1s that I can mail you. PM me your full name and address and let me know how many clips you need. I'll send them next weekend (I'm away on vacation now).

Thanks Necere for this update. I've always appreciated your willingness to be open with us, to explain the realities of the small case manufacturing world, and especially to seek our opinions and input. These traits made the M1 journey unique and thoroughly enjoyable. My 3 M1s (revisions 1...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I found a package of 10 clips for sale on eBay that claim to be compatible for the NCASE M1, as well as the Lian Li TU150 and PC-Q33 cases. The same search also revealed a free STL file for 3D printing the clips.

I don't believe the changes made to the most recent revisions of the M1 allow a wider motherboard than earlier revisions. Improvements have been made in other areas, including graphics card size, but not motherboard width.

Ah, that makes more sense. Thanks. Really nice routing of all the cables. I escpecially liked how the cables from the 3 fan headers above the CPU socket are folded back, over, and behind the motherboard.

What an impressive build! So much planning must have gone into it and it's evident by how clean and open the interior is. I'm thinking the 3-way splitter and cables behind the front panel must be for fans, but the connectors are unlike any I've seen before.

What a powerful build! Is it only for gaming? I like the silicone bumper to support the graphics card. The filters are working well. How often do you have to clean them? When they are clean do you find they cause your temperatures to rise or the fan speeds to increase (to maintain a...

Yes. But again, do not overtighten the screws that secure expansion cards to the chassis. I use a small PH1 to get the screws mostly tight, and then snug it up just a very small amount with the PH2. Finger-tight is the best way to describe how tight to make these screws. For screws that...

I use a PH1. Do not overtighten the screws that attach most things to the chassis. I use a PH2 for the screws that attach a power supply to its mounting bracket and expansion cards to the chassis via their own mounting bracket.

Be careful about the height of the rear M.2 connector. They come in several heights and I found out the hard way that the one on my son's Asus Z170 Pro Gaming was too short (too close to the motherboard) to accommodate the SSD heatsink from EKWB. EKWB now lists a minimum height for the M.2...

I did not have to pay any taxes or duties for my delivery to (Ottawa) Canada, either. I was really expecting to.

The stock card is listed as 50.2 mm thick so that only leaves 16.8 mm underneath for bottom-mounted fans (total space for expansion cards and the space below them is 67 mm). I read the reddit thread you linked to and it mentions a lack of tabs on the Gigabyte 2080, not the 2070. Gigabyte's...

In a SFF forum post today, Necere wrote the following: The plan was for 12pm PST/8pm GMT, but there may be a bit of a delay as I need to confirm the shipping schedule with w360 and it's currently 3am where he is.

I have no direct experience with this, but I have read many positive posts about the Kraken X52. It has barbs that can swivel which makes routing the tubes easier.
