    HP Omen 32" QHD Monitor - 2560x1440, 5ms, 75Hz freesync, VA panel

Is there a way to turn off the HP Omen logo/splash screen when you turn the monitor on? It's a small pet peeve, but I would like to turn the monitor on and see the display immediately. I've had mine since the first month of release and it's still going strong.

Here's a great analysis of the delay in freesync and g-sync. It also compares RTSS vs FTC for freesync.

I turned on my PC while CMOS jumper was in clear position. Did I blow it?

Thanks a lot for all the advice guys. I took the battery out, cleared cmos, and left it like that for an hour. Came back and replugged everything. It's back up and running like nothing happened.

I turned on my PC while CMOS jumper was in clear position. Did I blow it?

What the f*ck was I thinking... such a rookie move. I was clearing CMOS on my Asrok Taichi board while reading some OC guide on my phone. Completely forgetting the CMOS jumper position a few minutes later I tried to turn on the PC. It starts for a second and then whole system dies. I instantly...

    HP Omen 32" QHD Monitor - 2560x1440, 5ms, 75Hz freesync, VA panel

Just for reference. I purchased this monitor at the end of August last year. Which I think is when the Omen first released. My firmware version is AMM111. I'm waiting until Vega to bother with the freesync hack and to see if I can overclock the monitor. Currently using an old nvidia gpu.

Some more differences. The AOC has a 3 year warranty vs HP's 1 year. Current news show the AOC is priced at 800 euros. No info on US prices yet, but based on the euro price, it may be lower than HP's $1,300.

    HP Omen 32" QHD Monitor - 2560x1440, 5ms, 75Hz freesync, VA panel

Really? Very interesting. Thanks for sharing that. I'm hoping to be able to do the same once I get a AMD card.

Has anyone confirmed if this actually supports Freesync LFC tech? Also, anyone with a AMD card wanna try out the Freesync hack to lower their Freesync minimum range?

    HP Omen 32" QHD Monitor - 2560x1440, 5ms, 75Hz freesync, VA panel

I haven't been on here in a while and can't seem to retrieve my old account. Mine just arrived today also. Such a beauty! Pixel perfect and no bleeding. It's replacing my Korean Qnix 27" IPS display. The downgrade from 100hz to 75hz is well worth it for all the extra screen real estate. I wish...
