Actually I used that desk for about a month and that corner is supported. There is a metal bar that runs diagonally under it attached to the legs at either corner. It isn't MUCH support, and that corner is only rated for 30 lbs.
I have to put my vote in for these. I have used older versions of them for years, I currently have this exact same pair and they work excellently. The one downside is they have extremely good noise cancelling, so you don't hear anything over the music really.
I personally love my 24" Sony Google TV. I just got done mounting it on the wall in front of my elliptical machine. It use it to keep my mind off how much longer I need to run. *smirk* Netflix works beautifully. The TV does a great job of making ST:TNG look higher def than it actually is...
I had seen your setup, and it makes me think it won't be a problem. Even if the mounting on the side of the desk causes issues, I could always drill a hole and mount it closer to the center of gravity.
