    MSI P67A-GD55... Front USB?

Well it turns out those devices in the device manager were USB3.0 hubs, so actually the computer doesn't recognize my front USB at all. I tried plugging in those cables together both ways, but the pins won't go all the way in?

    Is my 8800GT 512MB dead?

Works well. Doesn't quite have the processing power of my 8800GT, but it's got 1GB GDDR5 RAM. It's relatively cheap, runs MUCH cooler and quieter, draws less power, and doesn't even require a 6-pin PSU connector (runs off of the PCI-E power). Pound-for-pound the 6670 is better than the 8800...

    Is my 8800GT 512MB dead?

Yep, my video card WAS the problem. I've replaced it with a 6670, so if I have time I'll experiment with the 8800... I have some extra TIM laying around anyway.

    MSI P67A-GD55... Front USB?

Well I got around to plugging it in, and in the system tray it said that Windows was installing drivers for a "Generic USB hub." Although when I plug in a device, nothing happens. Here's what shows up in device manager:

    Is my 8800GT 512MB dead?

I've had this rig since 2007. Lately all I've been playing is NBA 2k11 on my 8800GT, but recently Windows 7 has been giving me a "The display driver has stopped working blah blah..." message. Sometimes I can go through a whole hour of gameplay, then the OS would freeze and I would have to do a...

    MSI P67A-GD55... Front USB?

Front panel USB to a rear USB port on the motherboard. I'm trying to get the front USB to work by plugging its case header to a rear port.

    MSI P67A-GD55... Front USB?

Hey guys, I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-designed-motherboard-external-connector/dp/B000V6WD8A/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_c But it's a single row 5-pin adapter that looks like: And I'm trying to plug it into the front USB lead that's a 9-pin that looks like: They don't seem to want to...

    WiFi Range Extender/Repeater recommendations

I recently bought a Netgear WN2000RPT from Best Buy and I couldn't manage to get past the setup (wouldn't connect with my existing router), and I'm returning it tomorrow. I just need to repeat the wireless-G signal downstairs to the other side of the house upstairs. What are your...

~$1000 Build: Need to finalize a few things!

Thanks for your suggestions guys! The build is up and running now. Everything is lightning fast. Games, loading Windows, everything is just a snap. It's cool and quiet, too. MSI P67A-GD55 XFX 6870 2500k Cooler Master Hyper 212+ 128GB Crucial M4 1TB Samsung 24x ASUS DVD 650W HX650 Fractal...

    MSI P67A-GD55... Front USB?

My MSI P67 board seems to only support ONE front USB port? I have a Fractal Design R3 case with two front USB ports and also a card reader. I plugged in the card reader to the JUSB1 slot (red), but can't seem to find a spot for my case's USB plug. Here's a pic of the board. Any help is...

~$1000 Build: Need to finalize a few things!

I'm still open to motherboard suggestions. I have basically everything but the SSD and i5/Mobo. What's the best option for motherboards under $170? P67 or Z68. I like ASUS's UEFI but I want a motherboard that's very reliable.

~$1000 Build: Need to finalize a few things!

I really like Intel's rock-solid reliability, but I'm wondering if it's really worth $60 more than the Crucial.

~$1000 Build: Need to finalize a few things!

I'm having second thoughts about the SSD. Is the Intel 510 worth the money? I've read that the Crucial M4 is just as reliable and almost as fast. What are your recommendations? Longevity and reliability out of the box are my main concerns. Also the i5 2500k is still out of stock at the NorCal...
