Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm planning a system upgrade from what I have in my sig, and I'm looking at the ASUS GTX570 with the Gigabyte Z68X-UD3P-B3. Due to the 3-slot cooling of the ASUS card, I am thinking to put my Xonar DX in PCIEx1_1 (the slot closest to the CPU). I can't do this with my current motherboard because...
Dextar, looks like the Corsairs are just what you need, as they do indeed perform very well for what you're using them for. Glad you are happy with your decision. Of course, we're going to have to agree to disagree about how they sound for music. ;)
Why? I have no need for headphones at home. The computer room is far enough from the bedrooms that I don't disturb anyone. I have Sennheisers at work and a set of ATH earphones for travel.
Nice, I'm still within the return window for my Klipsch, I'll give the SP2200 a try.
Edit: Darn, sold out. Newegg doesn't carry them yet either. Oh well.
As an owner of the newer Klipsch 2.1s, I have to say the bass is disappointing at higher levels. I can only stand to have the subwoofer turned to 8 or 9 before it starts to become too strong and thumpy, but at that lower level it still sounds acceptable. I completely know what you mean about the...
I do not recommend the Corsairs for music as they are today - I'd wait and see if they're able to address the issues I pointed out in a firmware update.
Sorry, I typod that - they're actually 7" across, on top of which they're almost 12" tall and 6.5" deep. But to answer your question, yes, I really am that short on space on my desk. My desk is in the corner of the room and is 48" wide and 24" deep. On it I have my LCD monitor which is 22" wide...
I'm looking at the Klipsch and Corsairs exactly because of desk space issues... the Corsairs are about 4.5" wide and they just about fit; I looked at the B652s and they are 6" across, way too big for my desk space.
Hi Dylan, thanks for the feedback. In fact I had planned to return it this weekend, to give people time to request additional tests.
I think this depends heavily on the kinds of games you play - for an RPG or any game with a lot of dialog, I think it would be about the same or favoring the...
Height of the bass unit, including rubber feet, is 11.75" with the feet being 0.75" of that. They're little rubber pegs that you could tear off if you wanted to, but then you'll have the entire sub vibrating against whatever it's resting on - probably not a good idea.
At $199 it would be a...
Yes REFERENCE is the default setting out of the box.
Dylan, I'll try setting it to classical, but may I ask what exactly does "electrically flat" mean and why would anyone care? Why isn't reference acoustically flat, which is the audio industry standard meaning for that term?
Also, it's nice...
