Advice requested: Replace ATI X1950Pro 512MB

I've got an ATI X1950 Pro 512MB. It was a good standby card. I want to upgrade it with a reasonable amount of cash given that the new lines are coming out in a few months. I want to be able to play games like Call of Duty 4 at my LCD's native resolution (1680x1050) with everything turned on...

    New Computer Problem

We need a bit more information. Did you plug the hard drives in while the system was up and powered? What types of HDs? (IDE or SATA or SCSI) Does the slowness show with just one or the other HD attached?

    6600GT problems w/ new build

Does your video card require a power lead to be attached? Normally, motherboard BIOS will autodetect whether there is an AGP or PCI video card. You could try unplugging the power supply and pulling the CMOS battery for 30 seconds and it should revert the BIOS to defaults.

    Quality of Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939?

I'm looking to buy this motherboard plus an A64 3000+ CPU. I have an Nvidia 6600 GT OC AGP version and am hoping it will work fine with this motherboard. (It currently has problems with my P4 MSI motherboard (SIS chipset)) Anyone have experiences good or bad with this board?

Terrible Problems With BFG From A UK Customer

I've gone through all of this with BFG. They do know what questions to ask. I have a suitable power supply. If the card is not getting enough voltage, the nvidia driver will pop up a window informing you and then will underclock the card.

Terrible Problems With BFG From A UK Customer

Well, I sent my card to BFG and they finally shipped the card back and I got it Wednesday(Aug. 17/2005). I cleared old stuff out and put the card in and installed Nvidia 77.72 drivers and DirectX9. Well, the problems are still there. Geometry and texture corruption, game freezing, PC freezing...

    BFG 7800GTX problems

You don't necessarily have to do a completely fresh install. You can uninstall the items in question and then pull them from the computer. From the looks of your IRQ settings, I would recommend uninstalling the SB Audigy and the 7800. Put the 7800 in and install drivers and so forth. Test it by...

    BFG 7800GTX problems

Here's a suggestion: Whenever you install a new video card, do a fresh install of Windows. Before you reinstall Windows, remove all PCI cards so that only your video card is there. Disable built-in sound and ethernet on the motherboard, if it exists. Install Windows, install video drivers and...

Terrible Problems With BFG From A UK Customer

On BFG's web site: BFG Tech Support Under the heading "BFG Tech 1 Year Accessory Warranty (Graphics Card Fan)". Does this refer to a new fan/heatsink that is bought separately or the one on the video card? If it is for a replacement/separate then I apologize. It is not clear to me. And...

Terrible Problems With BFG From A UK Customer

I wouldn't dismiss BFG out of hand, personally. Every company has bad parts - that's what warranties are for. How they deal with these issues and their customers is what is important.

Terrible Problems With BFG From A UK Customer

Its funny that I read this thread. I bought a BFG 6600 GT OC AGP recently and its exhibiting similar problems. Geometry and texture corruption, freezing my computer, shutting itself off. I'm not even overclocking or anything! I bought a new Enermax power supply with a lead on it specifically for...
