    Advice on ssd raid setup for fast continuous reading

    Well, there's no real requirement, preferably faster than 1.3GB/s. As fast as possible for the budget really, with speeds over 2GB/s being nice but slghtly overkill. I'd also prefer modular solutions as far as possible, using standard ssds, rather than pcie drives.

    I'm planning on building a portable system (so weight is a consideration) where read speed is a priority (going to be used for video/vfx stuff, so mostly continuous reading). The current idea is to go for 4 ssd drives in total, with one as system drive, and 3 in raid 0, using a pcie raid...
