Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
now that's out of the way, anyone have an update as to when the bundles will be available?
I know it says June - but we're already 9 days into June and nothing has changed from May's format.
Time is here again folks for the Intel Retail Edge - Big Deal for the summer of 2009.
With this Big Deal comes a choice:
Big Deal Bundle #1 $289 (USD)
Intel® Core i7 920 processor
Intel® Desktop Board DX58SO
Windows Vista Ultimate* (64-bit edition)
Upgrade voucher to receive...
Agreed - but just quoting the price if you tried to buy individually.
Remember, Vista Ultimate was $399 at release as well.
Is there a thread of people purchasing the bundle as before?
Griping about it being 8 days into June and the bundle is STILL unavailable?
Please post it or start...
Given the "deal" that intel is offering - it is a BIG deal.
You do the math with current prices 6/6/09
I7 920 Chip = $275
MB = $251
Vista U X64 = $ 170
Cupon for Win 7 U X64 = $ ? ( Most likely $399 upon initial release)
Total = $1095
-
Intel price $285 + shipping.
Not...
guess no one has seen that issue I spoke of on the other page?
HDDs turning off (power down) when I have it set in advanced power settings not to power down???
I know what you mean. But you only have a DVD drive? Just installed on an Intel port?
I found I need the drivers because I have a combo DVD/writer.
Whenever I tried to burn, the drive would dissappear.
And as far as E-SATA, it should all be hot swapable.
For me, it's every boot.
and only after I install Marvell
recommend uninstalling Marvell if you are not using the SATA ports 7 & 8.
SATA ports 1-6 are controlled by Intel.
Marvell SATA drivers need to be installed or updated. I had the same problem until I installed them.
But then, new troubles...
On the boot, loading bar freezes for about 30 or so seconds then resumes.
Freaks the heck out of me, but it does resume loading.
I believe it to be Marvell looking...
