    I know what you mean. But you only have a DVD drive? Just installed on an Intel port? I found I need the drivers because I have a combo DVD/writer. Whenever I tried to burn, the drive would dissappear. And as far as E-SATA, it should all be hot swapable.

    For me, it's every boot. and only after I install Marvell recommend uninstalling Marvell if you are not using the SATA ports 7 & 8. SATA ports 1-6 are controlled by Intel.
