    ambient is currently around 23c. applied AS5 in the following manner: pea-sized amount, spread around evenly with my finger in a plastic bag. will try reseating. i have been measuring with speedfan. thank you all for your help, i'll let you know how it turns out.

    howdy. just built an AM2 system based on the 3800+ X2 in a gigabyte M59SLI-S5 with a Zalman 9500. getting some temps that are higher than i would have expected. idles around 38-40c, up in the mid-high 40's during gaming, and hit 51 during two instances of prime95. i have not overclocked it...

    Recommend me a monitor please

    i recently got the viewsonic, very pleased with it despite the lack of HD. FEAR looks stunning on it. i had no issues, no dead pixels, DVI worked properly, backlight bleeding was minimal. i feel condifent reccomending it.
