I have a 9800GTX that is semi-screwed. I get colored dots/lines at the BIOS boot up screen and windows does not seem to recognize the card fully. My question is if I bake this card, is there a good/any possibility it will stop working completely? Right now I can still use it for...

If you have the same setup as someone else, would it be safe just to enter their stable settings strait in to your bios? Or should you work up to those numbers?
