Interesting. I upload roughly 400GB each night from my nighly ESXi backup process. It takes about 8 hours or so, but it completes each day without issue. Am I just extremely lucky?
Thanks. I'll look into those. First I'm going to get the monitors and see how the stock stand are (probably terrible). I'm also looking at this stand...
So I've searched the forums, but I haven't had any luck finding what I'm looking for. I am about to purchase 2 Dell U3415W monitors and I would like a nice dual monitor stand for them. Most of the ones I find max out at either 24 or 27 and are definitely nowhere near the 34 ultra-wide. I've...
I just purchased an Intel RES2SV240 SE91267. I currently have 8 drives in 3 different arrays RAID 0 arrays directly attached to my 9265-8i. Can I power everything off and move all 8 drives to the expander and have my arrays just show back up? Will ESXi be okay with the move? Feels somewhat...
Hi All,
I'm considering a change of home lab architecture. Right now I just have one server running ESXi 5.5. Here are the specs:
ASRock EP2C602wwd-4L/D16 Motherboard
2 x Intel Xeon E5-2620V2 Processors
16 x 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz Memory (256GB)
Norco 4224 Rackmount Case
1 x...

Thanks for the input! I'm heavily considering this monitor:

It's actually 4k, but it seems like most of these cards can handle that now from a desktop perspective anyway.
Thanks again!
So I'm trying to pick a video card for a new dual monitor setup and I was hoping for some advice. The purpose of this dual monitor setup is purely for productivity...no gaming at all. So the question is, what makes the most sense from a video card perspective. Here are my specs:
Norco 2U...
So I swapped out my failing areca card for a 9265. I'm not getting the oddest thing. The drives show up as SATA 6.0, but the negotiated link speed is showing up as 3.0. I'm also getting almost half the performance when compared to my Areca card with the same drives. What am I missing? I...
