Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yep. Bear in mind, I would have kept the Doublesight had it not been fucked up.
I'm still thinking about holding out for the new one. But the price of the FP241VW sounds just right. I also fully suspect the FP241 monitors are better for what I'm looking for than virtually *any* TN, including...
Thanks, 10e, as always.
What do you mean by that? That seems kinda important because one of the functions of this display, for me, is to be hooked up to my HD-DVD player (for upscaling standard def DVDs).
Yeah, Jonathan, I had the Doublesight and loved it for the 2 hours it worked. When I...
So, a refurbished FP241VW for $445 in the Clearance Shop. I always wish I knew what they mean by "refurbished" - anyhow, that's a pretty damn good price for that monitor from what I gather.
The new ones are backordered at the moment with no available date listed.
I guess I'd like some...
So I just got one of these famed DS-263N panels directly from Doublesight.
The Good:
Bright, clear, and large workspace. The panel can be tilted to an acceptable range of use. I actually like the little menu "nub" and find it easy to use.
The Bad:
There's some sort of horizontal, wavy...
So, I'm out of options for overclocking this XPS 420, because the BIOS quite simply doesn't allow for it.
However, I *can* physically alter the CPU.
There's a guy who overclocked his Q6600:

So...
1. Does anybody here think this trick...
Just scored a 12,816 with everything set to default on 3DMark06.
I guess I need to overclock the CPU / GPU to see a significant increase?
Here's the breakdown:
SM2.0 Score: 4901
HDR/SM3.0 Score: 6077
CPU Score: 3731
I actually don't have a clue how to overclock a CPU.
Sorry, forgot to mention I was running 1680x1050 resolution.
I'll run it again at the standard resolution.
Anybody know how I can force the 4870 to do Vertical Synch? The tearing drives me crazy sometimes.
I just scored a mere 12,369 on my first run of 3DMark06.
With a stock, 750MHz 4870 inside a Q9300 (also running stock @ 2.5GHz)...do I just suck or is this about what I can expect?
Oh, resolution: 1680x1050
Hello, I've never run CCC on this new machine (32-bit Vista with .NET Framework installed).
When I click on CCC, the hour glass spins momentarily, but nothing shows up on my desktop or elsewhere for that matter.
Am I missing something blatantly obvious?
