so, i got a 'free' x79 mobo Asus P9X79 with a i7-3820 from my brother. He will be buying a new machine. I just need to know what would be good pair GPU to the x79? I dont feel selling the x79 to get a Z77 and i am in asia, so there's hard to re-sell value. i am looking at 7850, 7950...

Planning to get the seasonic x850. Is it enough for my config below? - asus p9x79 deluxe - intel i7 3820 (and to upgrade to ivy bridge-e 6 core when available) - sapphire hd7850 - 6hdd (planning to get to 15hdd with hba supermicro card later) - minor usb stuffs keyboard mouse etc

initially i was going for the ASUS boards but couldnt seem to make my mind as i can't seem to find a decent xeon consumer mobo either way, i have a HIS HD5450 PCI-E in my old pc which i can reuse. And i would prefer stability on my system.. should i go xeon E3? or it is indifferent ?

that akiwa GHS-2000 case looked slick. how does that perform compare to the 343 or the normal rackmount?
