    thanks for the advice. In that case it does seem like a lot of trouble - i may look more into the rca connections or just not bother. However if i do go ahead with any of these ideas ill be sure to make a log.

    Yer kinda similar to that used in the trashed worklog but i know it can be done with normal line in audio type leads from soundcards, rather than rca / connections but i have no idea where to get the jacks to wire the power through.
