    FedEx shipping qustion

I handle shipping at my small company & in my experience, it should be there Monday...but I wouldn't plan my day around it, as FedEx may rearrange it to ship on Tuesday if their scheduling requires it. I'd give it 95% chance of delivery on Monday.

    E8400 @ 3.5GHz and a GTX 260...would a GPU upgrade help?

Yes, 512MB & yes, always tried to run 4x AA on both cards. Even the 5770 didn't permit it. Only saw about 5% increase in FPS when going to it...which still leads me to believe that, at least my particular E8400 setup was bottlenecking the 5770. I can't imagine what it would do to a GTX 570.

    E8400 @ 3.5GHz and a GTX 260...would a GPU upgrade help?

    Seems to depend upon the game: http://www.hwcompare.com/1192/geforce-9800-gtx-vs-radeon-hd-5770/ Just looking at the 1920x1200 results: BFBC2: +15% FEAR2: +54% Fallout 3: +35% L4D: +43% (8x AA 16x AF) L4D: +23% (4x AA 8x AF) L4D2: +40% ME2: +7% SupCom2: +82% Not sure if it's...

    E8400 @ 3.5GHz and a GTX 260...would a GPU upgrade help?

According to your link...a 9800 GTX is 75% of a 5770 at 1920x1200. This means that the 5770 is 33% faster at the particular resolution than the 9800 GTX. My 9800 was an odd one in that I ordered an EVGA 9800 GTX but received a 9800 GTX+ GPU on a 9800 GTX PCB...apparently they had run out of...

    E8400 @ 3.5GHz and a GTX 260...would a GPU upgrade help?

WoW improvement was my primary goal with that "upgrade". My general FPS with the 9800 GTX+ was around 46. After switching to the 5770 I achieved around 49. I didn't get more scientific than that. I just knew I still couldn't maintain 60fps vsync. Maybe my problem was the fact that I use...

    E8400 @ 3.5GHz and a GTX 260...would a GPU upgrade help?

I only saw about 5% improvement in framerate with the upgrade. I still couldn't manage 60fps vsync in WoW with full draw-distance & high-res textures.

    E8400 @ 3.5GHz and a GTX 260...would a GPU upgrade help?

I had my E8400 OC'd to 3.6GHz with DDR2 1066 memory & a 9800 GTX+. I retardedly upgraded to a 5770 about a year ago & saw almost no performance increase. That CPU was definitely the bottleneck. I finally got my hands on a P67 motherboard this Monday & the difference between my old system and...

    Asus P67 boards available!

Just ordered my new B3 ASUS P8P67 Deluxe!

Damn that's tempting...but $20 for 5-day ground shipping & they can't even be bothered to add a logo to their site? I think I'll pass.

    Thermal paste

Neither is conductive, so I'd go with whichever paste is easier for you to apply. I bought Arctic Silver's ceramic paste for my new build... I have no idea how well it will work since I can't get my hands on a freakin' motherboard though.

    Comment on my Sandybridge build

So, if someone is building this $800 budget gaming system: $230 CPU (2500K) $170 Radeon HD 6850 $115 MB (Minimal P67 Cost) $105 8GB RAM (DDR3 1333) $80 PSU (700w'ish) $50 Case (Antec 300?) $50 Storage Drive (bein' real conservative here) you would highly recommend they add a $230...
