    my rec is to set everything to default and use the AI utility in windows that does it all manually and just ask for a "moderate" OC. It will optimize everything automatically and stress test it. I ran 4.8ghz for years that way.

    I feel like you need to be familiar with your equipment and understand what is going on before you start changing potentially dangerous settings if you bought 3000mhz memory then the default clock should be just that. There is no performance to gain by OC'ing that anyway...
