    Best MP3 player at $200

I heard a friend's Karma. He's not particularly impressed with the sound quality, neither am I. It's not bad but not that good. Thick and quite heavy for a 20Gb too. It is easy to use but so are many other players these days. I think you may be better off going for a newer one.

    Cheap Speakers (2.0)

Got a reco from a friend: M-Audio BX5. Anyone have anything bad to say about these?

    Cheap Speakers (2.0)

Yes please. Most things are - but they just tend to be overpriced compared to the US.

    Cheap Speakers (2.0)

$400 (£250). As someone else said, it's relative. For me $20000 is a helluva nice set of speakers. I think it's a reasonable amount to spend on something that's not complete crap, especially as I'm giving this away. Sizewise I asked her and apparently there's two side shelves on either side of...

    Cheap Speakers (2.0)

I've decided to give my ageing game PC to a relative. It'll lack speakers so I want to add a pair. She's already staked out where it'll go and there's place to have two small speakers of the bookshelf kind. A sub wouldn't be bad, but I think it might get in the way. I'm looking for something...

    Computer Audio

It's probably going into the realm of 'what I would like' isn't it? I'd say buy a reasonable receiver with 6-channel analog input and optical in (with common format acceptance). Haven't heard of Outlaw but the midrange receiver market is quite crowded and it shouldn't be a problem to hunt out...

    Computer Audio

For home theater and gaming use (>=5.1) the Audigy 2 ZS is absolutely fine. I think it's a great all-round sound card. The DAV-LF1 is what I suppose you're talking about. The infrared transmission is supposed to be quite good, but once again I've not heard it so I can't say anything. If you ask...

    Computer Audio

I've never tried wireless speakers but I would think they can't be that good. You can use most domestic receivers and amps with the Audigy's outputs. I have the Horning Zeus speakers along with the Naim NAIT 5 integrated amp for my computer specific audio. I've got two computers going into it...

    A sub with headphones?

I thought the DT770 was a very fatiguing headphone to listen to. It's true that they have bass while remaining controlled but I thought they needed a lot of EQ to stay listenable. I want to know about the sub as well. I've never been impressed by headphones compared to speakers, even compared...

Sorry if asked before... Value video card

By the way now that the power is plugged in  I'm happy with the card. Thanks for the advice everyone.

    Post your HeadPhones!

I'll take your word for it. My PC speaker setup sounds better to me than a comparable headphone system.

    I'm not that ooze.

    Post your HeadPhones!

I guess I mean why use headphones unless you can't, if you see what I mean?

    Post your HeadPhones!

I didn't think about it like that. I use speakers for the PC.

Sorry if asked before... Value video card

The case accounted for more than I thought, so I went for the Gigabyte 6600GT instead... and framerates have taken a dive into the toilet!!!!! I had a GF4Ti, and expected this to be an upgrade. Instead, it's a lot worse. What gives  Edit/ I should have seen the message...
