Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I hate the push pins, but the first time I did a Socket A (first computer I built as well) I was sweating it. I remember having a screwdriver slip and hit the mobo one time, luckily didn't hurt the mobo.
Bought two kits for my X58A-UD3R and running 12gb no problem. Have an extra stick left over that way, but I'd rather do that so I'll have the extra stick when going to either SB or IB.
I've had pretty good luck with my 6870s crossfired. Of course there's always a game or two that don't utilize it for jack or having to wait for a driver update. If you already have one card and your PSU can handle it then I say go for it.
There's always an advance auto code on the website it seems like. Can't remember the last time I actually went to the store to buy something, easier and cheaper to buy online and select store pickup.
I had an issue with a bad sata cable, and during the troubleshooting had somehow left my pump molex disconnected. CPU survived, but one of my HD4870s didn't make it. Started melting the block (maze 4) and leaked onto the bottom card (which still worked after cleaning) so yeah things can get...
With a i7 950 at 4.3ghz it just isn't worth it to me right now. Now adding another HD6870 is a possibility, but I'm not struggling now and very likely could skip crossfire and wait for the next generation of cards.
I snagged a Rasa for my i7 950, and yeah the instructions/mount seem a little janky. Block performs good though. 4.3ghz/hyperthreading on with 1.42v and my hottest core is 72 testing with linx. Variance is good ranging from 70-72 as well. Next time I have to mount I'm going to get white out or...
There's a lot of truth in what cannondale06 is saying. I'm kinda stuck right now with what to do. I have crossfired 4870s that are performing great and allowed me to skip the 58XX series, but would I have been better off selling them when I could have got something out of them and going with a...
Two waterblocks (MCW6000 and Dtek Fuzion) for five different computers. One gpu block (maze 4) for five different graphics card. Just added a second gpu block for crossfire though. Not bad lifespan if you ask me. Have been watercooling long enough for a Laing D5 to bite the dust. Some of the...
Horizontal lines in BC2 aren't as bad with crossfire with the 10.5 from my two days of use. They disappear usually after a couple seconds if they crop up as well.
That's something I've always wondered about. Is there a higher lag using a HDTV over a monitor? Something noticeable with first person shooters? I mean the price of a 32" 1080p TV makes them viable for monitors in my opinion.
