Well I replaced the stand with one from another manufacturer, and the vibrating seems to be reduced but still there. Removed Vesa cover. Screws appeared to be tight. Tightened them just in case. Monitor still wobbles. Conclusion: Hp 2207 is defective by design -- the stand just doesn't cut it. Anyone know of any quality replacement stands? -

Yeah, just tried moving the mouse really hard and it definitely shakes a bit. I think I might take this one back and get the LG. EDIT: Except I am missing the receipt. Shit. Hell I don't think they even gave me one. -_- Any ideas of how I can fix this myself? Like could I de-assemble the stand... -

I dunno. I guess it could be the desk. I sort of doubt it though. Maybe its just b/c I am used to my rock solid 17" LCD monitor which never showed the slightest hint of vibrating. -

Hmm... I tried to take a video of the vibrating with a camera but it didn't seem to pick it up. It's a slight vibration sort of, like the monitor is shaking while I type. I don't think the stand is defective, I think the monitor is just too large for the stand. EDIT: I now have a video of it... -

I'm not even typing hard. Two handed typing = my monitor vibrating like jello. Shifting around in my chair slightly = vibrating monitor (and I am pretty thin). How is it even possible to have a defective stand? I mean goddamn, it's just a piece of plastic attached to a monitor. -

Yes. L226WT-BF and L226WTX-BF are fine. The Q model is NOT fine. -

The specific LG model of the model you have is defective. You want to return the L226WTQ and replace it with a L226WTX or L226WT. Apparently prototype Q has MAJOR ghosting issues -- so bad that it would even affect your photo work IMO. -
